About me

I am Assistant Program Manager for upper-level online mathematics at the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth in Baltimore, Maryland. I've worn a variety of hats in that role, from managing a team of six full-time supervisors overseeing over 100 part-time instructors, to developing processes and dashboards to improve efficiency across the Online Experiences Department, to managing course development projects and customer service. I've worked with a variety of learning management systems including the open-source Moodle, and completed the Quality Matters reviewer course for certifying online course materials.

I've been tutoring and teaching mathematics for most of my life, and occasionally do research in combinatorial game theory.

I have also been programming for over 20 years in a wide variety of languages, including Python, the multi-paradigm Wolfram Language (used in Mathematica), Haskell, and Javascript.

Outside of the above, my personal interests include puzzle competitions such as the MIT Mystery Hunt, linguistics, and various media focused on education and/or comedy.
